Designer Handbags Trends

Very often seen as a rich gals accessory, handbags have become a must for anyone who is interested in fashion. The media influences people all over the world, which promotes the sale of designer pieces through magazines, television and the movies. Wealthy public figures are often given designer merchandise from the high fashion companies in hopes that they will wear their clothing and accessories. When a star is seen wearing a new designer handbag everyone wants to know where they can get one like it too.

Let’s face it, we can’t all be like the socialites gracing the covers of supermarket magazines, whose qualifications for almost overnight superstar status remain somewhat ambiguous. Nor would we really want to be, and yet sometimes we can’t help but envy the way they spend thousands of dollars on each bag du jour in the same flippant fashion we purchase gum.

It used to be that the only way to carry the most coveted handbag was via a trip to the source-some city notorious for designer counterfeit peddlers with their merchandise sadly laid out on trash bags on the street. These bag men call to you, “Gucci, Prada, Chanel, Fendi, Dior” all the while making you slightly uncomfortable with furtive glances for the first sign of the police, at which point they, the handbags, and your money disappear. And usually, even if you were able to procure one of these bags, the knowledge that yours was not like everyone else’s somehow always kept you from truly enjoying it. In the back of your mind you could never quite accept that yours was bought by way of some underhanded and illicit process.

Fortunately, mid-range handbag designers have caught on to this and have begun to imitate the styles you see coming from the famous high end fashion houses, but under no pretenses. They realize that fashion doesn’t just appeal to the rich and famous and all of the hottest trends have suddenly become affordable. Finally, you can truly be fashionable at all costs.
